EXTRÉME-ORIENTFound this site while researching the VNA order of battle project. Lots of images, and a fair amount of relevant information. It is, however, all in Hungarian. I hotlinked the tagged entries most relevant to the forum. Tenue Allemand en Indochine Also found this bit. Apparently, some CEFEO troops in the early days were wearing German WWII camo.

I know a text from the book (La Lègion Ètrangére by Raymond Guyarder) he also describes there that German camouflage patterns were used in Indochina.
But I think that the use was much greater than mentioned in the text.
But still too small to be relevant in the whole.

That it was used shouldn't be too much of a surprise. The French Army of the period was using Panther tanks in Europe at the time. There are still murmurings that some of them made it to Indochina, though evidence is sparse and suspect.
