Bonjour le Gars!
Tonight I randomly decided to go onto WPG and I stumbled apon What looked to be a TAP 50 belt! At first I thought it was going to just be the flat adjusters (not sure the exact name but hopefully you know what I'm talking about) but I noticed they were the more sought after rounded ones! I decided to take a shot and purchase one of them as they are around 30 bucks!

WPG does tend to get stuff right. I was lucky, years ago The Sportsman's Guide had a lot of French equipment and even though much of it was the infantry leather some was TAP and it was cheap. I bought quite a bit. Those day's I think are gone forever.

Looks damned nice. Probably better than the originals.
I'll get really excited when they offer a Sac a Dos TAP Mle. 50.

Had one of those too. All the leather was dried out. I had a local harness maker restore it. Perfect job. I sold it to a guy in Illinois.

According to their talk on their Facebook stream, there's more to come. It looks like they may be doing a wide selection of TAP 50 gear. Belts, braces, pouches, etc.

I have three of the "Bergam" type, but I could use one of the all-fabric TAP 50 packs, reasonably-priced of course (in other words: repro). |

What Steve, I think, is referring to is the TAP 50 musette bag. And, yes Virginia, WPG has these in the works.
