he s doing this quite frequently.... I ve got several snapshots of the other camouflage patterns used the same way.... its shame that he spents the money on such useless s*** instead of making a better/available repro of TAP47/51 or TP47/54......

i get the feeling these are made in a small shop in VN somewhere.....they might make as much just doing the lizards and TAP 47 OD unis in larger sizes...

Many such things were being made during the Vietnam War but I think mainly for local consumption, not for export. The ones I've seen that were from that period were clearly sized for Vietnamese. That was ten years ago and I'm afraid I don't remember any little details. Quality was okay as far as I recall and they were generally of lightweight fabric. More recent reproductions of airborne jackets that I've seen have been of slightly lighter fabric, too, but only slightly so. The colors are exact, either, but close enough. I suspect that replicating fabric would be difficult. Other details, though, are good. Quality of workmanship has been good, too, and zippers are a little better than on the originals.
I recently found, by the way, a pair of original khaki French Army cotton pants in my size. I even had trouble getting the right size when I was in the army.
