I have found a few options for new pataugas. I would like to hear your opinions which one of these boots is historically the most correct in colour and model: #1 #2 #3:

David that first set looks very good. The last set is made by Palladium, if anyone can make a good boot I'd say they would be at the top of the list. Joe

Thanks for your reply! #1 is Mil-Tec (€30), #2 is La Tranchee (€30), #3 is current production civilian Palladium indeed (€50 with discount). I have a slight preference for the Palladiums but if one of the others is more correct in colour or details I'll opt for those.

If I'm not mistaken the black soles and toe caps are more appropriate than the OD.

Thanks, it's hard to see on grainy original colour photos. That would put # 1 and 2 to the top of the list... Or just get one of those and #3 for normal wear so people think we're normal lol

That would be the way I would go.

I wear my Palladiums year round- first pair from 2012 shows major fading and a little fraying of the trim, but still perfectly serviceable today! Regards, ---Toussant

I got a pair of real Palladiums at a sale today. They have OD soles but I would describe the colour of the canvas as dark forest green rather than OD, but it might change a bit with fading. Other than that they seems to be of very good, sturdy quality.
I think I'll also go get a pair of La Tranchee's pataugas sometime.
