Hi there, We commissioned a short run of these for a film I am on at the moment. I had a hard time finding the original parts kit to mold from - thankfully one was very kindly offered by a friend. The parts kit was missing the middle part of the receiver, the fabricators had to create that section, so there is no rear sight on these. They are hard-rubber, over a fiber-glass skeleton, the sling swivels are metal - there are two types in the picture, the "hero-props" and the slightly more sturdy "Stunt-props" these have not had the stock dremeled open, and so are a little more sturdy, if not as accurate - it is a straight forward fix. These cost $300 each to buy, as it was a short run - depending on the condition after the movie, I will sell to anyone who wants one for $250 - or keep them for our inventory. This is not a business, but, if there is an interest let me know - these will be available in two weeks when we wrap filming. They look good with the canvas slings in place, hanging on a mannequin -

Very cool. I wish I had the cash available, but a new Para FAL will easily limit funds.
Are you at liberty to mention the name of the film?

Hi Lew - Not at this time - soon, though. It's not a legion film, that element is just a very small detail. Five guns reserved. I like the Para-FAL - too. This is my favorite Para rifle - the gloves are factory new, still have the tie thread attached - one magazine is real the other is an SSD reproduction, the only reproduction item in the photo.

I'm jealous, and you are about to be banned because of it. Very cool rifle. I really like 7.92 Mauser, and the FG was a very forward-thinking design. Uses a MAS Mle. 36 bayonet, too.

I agree with Steve... Although banning's too good for ya... I think he should be fined at least an afternoon of lettin' us shoot it...

For 250 $ I would take one, but will you shipping to Germany?

Hi Hoover - I would ship to Germany, but sadly, I think we will find the cost of shipping is not much less than the $250 for the dummy gun. It is really expensive shipping heavy or large items out of the US.
Hi Lew - The pic wasn't meant as a show off, although reading my post it may seem that way. That particular rifle cost me half my collection, and I am still paying monthly for it lol. The rifle has been an epic work, to restore, and register legally, as semi-auto USC 992r compliant item, as all of the internals had to be remanufactured in the US, and permanently converted(manufactured) to Semi-only with "denial-parts" welded or machined into place, to counter conversion back to select fire. Nothing was harmed internally, as this was a parts kit that was literally missing everything inside - so, quite an adventure.

I thought that was an original transferable. Even more impressive that the guts- semi-auto, even- need to be added. Very nifty.

Here's a quick couple of pics - it's a very, very small film, and was really hard on the replica guns. Thankfully I had some reenactor friends come and help with the blank firing guns, or we would have been in trouble. We ran MG42, MP44, and a LOT of MAS36 rifles, PPsh41, Stens, MP40, Mauser pistols, when I first broke the script down I must have over looked it, as it was a bit of a surprise, it was way more than should have been on a low budget movie. The reenactors accepted some dummy MAT49's as pay which was very helpful. But I still have some left over, although a couple have lost all of their finish and one has a broken or bent stock. Will either sell cheap, or keep. Me with Juju Chan (Crouching Tiger 2) holding the dummy Mat 49s. I found my Palladium boots through research on this site - we got a bulk deal from them - though it was only a couple of dollars. I stole them from wardrobe, they were too comfortable to give back. The little Ford M (1942) with Scott Adkins (Zero Dark Thirty) and Matthew Marsden (Blackhawk Down) getting the seats bloody.
If you like this kind of thing one of the cast made a quick behind the scenes, where you can see me acting like a rube: - www.facebook.com/cung.le/?fref=nf

If interested Email - figgypix@yahoo.com
I will send a picture of the MAT49's that are remaining - they are $250 each + shipping in the US - first come first served, you pick.
Saigon 1965 MAT's is about to be mailed.
This way I can send specific pictures, close ups, etc., the last thing I want is anyone unhappy.

Looks good, just about as rough and ugly as I remember them on my French Commando Course course in 83/84.
I had my shipped to a US address and I'm anxiously awaiting for him to open it. I thought it would be like Christmas morning.

Gents
Sorry for falling off of the map, when the computer crashed, everything went with it. I'm busy trying to re-establish contacts. Although a year late, I was able to pick up my resin MAT this fall in the US.
Thanks Jesse

Not sure what the verification is. I'll poke around to see if there's any notifications I've missed.

Now I have to look at trimming down the stock on the MAT, I'm wondering if it would be stronger to replace the resin stock with steel rod. Anyone have any opinion on this?
