Jerry has some 47/52 Lizard Camo jackets and pants up on his website- anyone with more expertise care to look 'em over and give some thoughts? I have the earlier Indo fabricated jacket and trouser set that are fantastic! (I use the jacket for my every day wear, I like it so much...) Please be candid and share your thoughts with us new guys!
Thanks Much!

I get a 404 error when I click on the link to see more detail and can only see the thumbnail images, but the color looks darker, closer to my 47/56 uniform sets. The 47/52 is heavily light green dominant. I'll reserve judgement until I can see more detailed images.
I have their Mle. 47 TAP trousers and they are superb in every way, so I'd hold out hope for the 47/52 sets.

I just looked at the website and at $155 a set, I'm crushed at how much I paid for mine a couple of years ago. If these turn out to be good, you won't ever beat that price.

No kidding. That price can't be beat. I hope they shake out just fine.

I saw the price and just laughed. $155.00 is shockingly nice. Oh well, I'm just happy they have them now. At that price I might get a set of theirs too.

Good to see ya around, Rex. I'd be floored if they made a 47/54 uniform set, but that seems highly unlikely.

I bought the WPG TAP47/52 set.
Used it in a three gun match. Worn like an SAS smock ie. load bearing jacket. It certainly wasn't meant to be just a bonesack like the Denison.
Can't talk about the sets accuracy but it's mil-spec.
It held up well. No seams popped and no rips. Lost a snap sometime during the match. Smaller grenade(?) pockets worked ok for shotgun shells. Larger pockets will hold 30rd mags. Pockets do make it hard to go prone. Going to re-sew the buttons with heavier nylon thread.
People at the match complimented me on the set. Like the original, looks menacing.
It arrived very fast. Ordered it on a Thursday. Was shipped out from Dubai via DHL on Sunday. Got to me on Tuesday.

The pictures on WPG's site work for me now. The color and pattern look great.
RNW: What methods are used to cinch the wrists- buckle and strap or button- and what is used at the waist tabs? Thanks for the review, too. Also, please make an introductory post in the "Rapport!" forum. Cheers!

Thanks for the review, too. Also, please make an introductory post in the "Rapport!" forum. Cheers! The wrists use straps and friction buckles, and the waist tabs use buttons. As for the colors, they seem spot on. I washed my set and the fabric set very well and the "new fabric sheen" is gone straight away. Cheers, Timo

Hi
just got a set of this WPG 47/52 and i like it not that i am an expert!
they seem to me to be very close to originals (i have TAP 47/53 originals) same weight material and weave the zips are a bit flimsy compared to the originals but it is a repro, i particularly like the trousers and the size is accurate to what you order but order the size you are!
the zip on the smock pocket seems a bit small to me but its no drama
i have a bit of a large arse and thighs a bit of a consequence of tabbing in my youth in the regt and sometimes find it hard to get strides to accommodate this but the trousers are fine!
cheers

I would look to trade a component like for like for one made by another manufacturer to give me a slight mismatch of jacket and trousers...
Anyone?
Trousers are a 42, slightly baggy on me (36 jeans) and smock is an XL

I picked mine up on ebay probably two years ago and an army buddy of mine just bought the jacket from WPG. The material and print look identical, as well as the zippers and buttons, the only apparent difference was the quality of the snaps. Mine appear to be a heavier grade than the WPG ones. Neither one of us has lost a snap yet. His luck was a paid more than twice what WPG is selling them for.
Cheers

I'm exceptionally jealous that you have an original Mle. 47 veston de saut.

No need to be jeaolus.. the mine is heavily beaten by the usage of Israeli forces... beaver tail cut, few holes repaired with newer tissue, stamps in hebrish + faded colours...... but still I consider as a reasonable purchase - regarding the price of 90USD..... still serves well to check the camo, cut, fabric .... etc and wearen

Just got a set of WPG 47/52s. Quality still good. Top notch imho. They do come with a set of camo suspenders now

I have a set. Very high quality. Compared to a set of 47/56 originals I have it's heavier material but that may have been the case back then too. The only issue I have with them is the size is really off. These are size small and they fit like size 42 at least. The trousers are about right but the jacket is not. Otherwise very impressed with the set.

I've always had to contact WPG about sizing before ordering. Their sizes are all over the map.
