Calling all experts! I would like to get your opinion of the French pack on Omaha's Surplus website- does this look suitable for the Indo time period? The leather looks yellowish from a further shot, and naturally colored in the closeup, which is what I've seen in my limited resources. Does this piece look suitable for reenacting? Thanks in advance for your opinions! ---Toussant

Yellow (chromium-tanned) leather= third trimester 1962. Some date stamps may show earlier dates, but it was not issued until late 1962. Green leather is early '70's. I did buy one of those to cannabalize the frame for a correct Mle. 50 sac à dos, and I can assure you that the leather is indeed yellow.
So, the answer is "no".
