I just purchased a French M50 rucksack from him that should arrive this Friday- the same type I've seen shown by several experienced members of this board in other places on this forum. I'm looking forward to its' arrival and have found the CORRECT model thanks to you fellows with the extensive reference materials. Thank you so much, gentlemen for your willingness to share your expertise with newbies like myself. Regards, Toussant

Toussant: I'd love to see a picture or two of the Mle. 50.
That seller has some interesting items: calots, good-condition Mle. 55 musette TAP.

Lew- It looks EXACTLY like the top ruck/haversack that you have pictured under your entry under Algerian War issued packs- only bummer is that you've said it wasn't really issued to TAP units. I took it anyway as it is in really fine shape despite it being issued already (went through something called a war... I imagine it would have some wear on it... wink!) Alas, I do not have the means to take pictures of it at this time, but I will once I do have the equipment to do so. As an addition, the original owner penned his name (Julien) on the strap slide through portion on the back when the bag is used as a light rucksack. Again, I thank you for the pictures and profound expertise that guided me to this authentic piece of kit. Regards! ---Toussant

The TTA musette, then. Cool. An early Algerian War TTA impression is really easy to put together if you are so inclined.
