Very cool. It's apparent that everyone put in a good amount of effort. The results speak to that.
Tell me that's a Mle. 36 LG48 and not a Mle. 36/51 in the fourth picture down.

I like the overall standard infantry impression. It is quite different to the camo mix of some units.
Well done. Woulde like to see more.

Sometimes it's refreshing to see the basics. As much as we like the paras around here, it's the TTA units that bore the brunt of the effort.

Superb! Too bad I'm by my onesy up in Minnesota! You fellows do a nice gritty view of what it would look like under some incredibly difficult conditions with limiter supply. My compliments and highest regards, ---Toussant

I know how ya feel. I'm for all intents and purposes solo in Washington state. We did a display at Lewis-McCord on Armed Forces Day. But so far not much interest has developed from it.

A colonial infantry regiment is a great place to start. This wikipedia.fr list: fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%A9giments_des_colonies has tons of unit pages. Even if they are brief, they will have the dates of service, insignia, and conflicts in which they were involved. 2e, 9e, 22e or 23e RIC would be a great start. HBT and later Mle. 47 uniforms, a calot de troupes coloniales Mle. 46, and the insignia would have you all set.

I have two. I have no idea where the interest will be among recruits here in the NW. I prefer para, that's where my real interest lies. But I have a back up in case... I do a 13e DBLE for WW2, so I'm also gathering the kit to continue the 13e lineage into Indo, and Algerie.

Truth be told for a Field uniform just what insignia would be worn, I would imagine nothing?
