I have one, and just ordered the trousers that go with it!

I have seen a number of locally produced (Vietnamese, that is) combat uniforms. Style-wise, they're all very interesting, and the quality was at least good or better. I think they had all been used but they had been produced for men of Vietnamese build, meaning they would be a good fit for a 12-year old boy. I really don't remember pants, though. I believe they were all leopard or tiger stripe camouflage and faded.

I saw that on WPG's site a few days back. I'm hoping their Denison Smocks come into stock soon. I'm not very pleased with their last attempt, but I'd gladly give 'em another go. There were a number of different jackets and trousers- camo and not- issued in Indochina, both French, Indo depot, and tailor-made.

Which unit would have typically used this equipment? Are these uniform pieces acceptable as in country replacement for worn out uniform in all units? I'd like to use it for Legion, if possible... Merci! Toussant

This is an early war TAP item. In other words If you're doin' a para unit (one of the BEP, BCCP, BCP) it's fine.

I just noticed he's got TAP 47 trousers up on his ebay site sized 38" or 40" waist. I know I'm not the only guy out there with a 38" waist- $150 a pair, a little steep, but where ya gonna find 'em anymore? Have his Extreme Orient jacket and trousers and I'm very pleased with fit and excellent quality. Adieu! ---Toussant

I second this, this Extreme Orient set was rather used for Parade/Walking out as its canvas was quite thick and made the trooper sweat like a pig, hence quite uncomfortable for combat Situation.

Damn, those Mle. 47 sets look great! If it was the camo Mle. 47 jacket, I'd be all over it.
