It's amusing that they're listed as Made in the USA!

Lulz. USA-made? Why not... While that's a good deal, 1951-date pads pop up from time to time. A note on usage: The only weapons to use this pad were the MAS Mle. 36/51 and 49/56. For the latter, only grenadiers and designated marksmen were issued one. MAS Mle. 36 LG48's and -49's were not accompanied by one at all.

Ahhh...didn't realize LG48's didn't utilize them. That's good to know!
I have seen the 1951 dated ones, but I was thinking about putting one on my No 4 Enfield rifle I use for hunting so the date doesn't matter in that case. BUT I had thought about getting one for my 1952 dated MAS 36 that is one of the ones that was intended for potential conversion to LG48...but since they weren't used on them, fuggetaboutit
