Today, lets take a few minutes to think about those who served in the military and provided the freedom we cherish today. To those of you who served in Indochina (1946-1975), Korea (1950-53) or an Allied Forces military unit (NATO, etc) we salute you on this day.
Lest We Forget ...

Armistice Day or l'armistice du 11 novembre" en France est un jour de celebration de la fin de la guerre 14/18, it's also a day where medals are given to old French military veterans. Legion d'Honneur, Croix de Guerre, Medaille de la resistance and Croix du Combattant are generally the favorites that day.We have a day for each war that we lost or won during year, May 7 for Dien Bien Phu,Bazeille generally on Novembre 11, August 25 for the Liberation of Paris, May 5 the Battle of Cameron ( fete de la Legion Etrangere), however, we do not celebrate the fall of Algeria ( sensitive topic), June 6 D Day and of course July 14 in Paris ( prise de la Bastille ).
