Can anyone identify these French camo items? It is a French camouflage jacket and trousers that belong to a friend who served in Vietnam and picked them up from a local South Viet airborne unit when he was in country in '69: www.mikestewartfitness.com/FRENCH_CAMOUThanks guys...

It's a pair of 47/56 trousers and what appears to be a lightened Toute Armes Jacket - it was done for Tropical Posts, as the original was too heavy.

Yeah Oggy is correct, the trousers are 'type 47/56 pantalon de saut' and the jacket is the 'type veste de combat allege mle 52.' 'All arms' for infantry, but sometimes worn by paras.

... thanks Cookie and Oggy for your research on those items. I passed the information onto my SF friend and he asked me to say "thanks" to you both!
