Salut, mes amis! A flea market find was guilty for the following impression. I found the sailor's cap, which misses the bobble, for €15. Last Friday we had a WWII Reenactor's meeting at a local Western Ranch in the Cologne Area, which we try to establish as a monthly jour fix. Voila! Un fusilier marin francais! I hope you enjoy the pics. With best regards et à bientot, Turner ;D

Hey Turner!!!!! Is the western stuff still big in Germany? ? I remember when I went to Scotland to visir friends back in '96, I wore my regular everyday clothes... Which included my "working" black felt hat, wrangler blue jeans, boots, and denim shirt. My hat ,I wore when I was "working" cows as I was still ranching a little then. Man did I ever get stares from everyone! However I was a big hit with the little kinder!!!!! ;D HAPPIEST day of my life was when my wife sold all her cows!!!! Renault

Hi Renault! Actually western isn't such a big thing over here anymore as I haven't seen anyone with such an outfit for a long time. But the kids would really enjoy seeing "city cowboys". ;D There are few ranches like the one we've been. This ranch is leased by a club (the CCC Carson City Company) which's average age is very high. They have severe recruiting problems. As I wrote above we try to meet once a month in the saloon for an evening of talking, BBQing, trying new impressions, planning new events and having a beer, or two. There are still some Cowboys, trappers and indians which spend nearly every weekend with their families on the ranch in their huts. Its a very nice location. Regards, Turner
