The bataillon was wiped out, but I made it back to Hanoi to report in, mon Colonel!

Welcome to the party. Information on the Bataillons T'ai seems to be scarce, and when it comes to FICW, that's saying something. On the plus side, since I believe they were closely associated with the GMCAs, that may offer some flexibility in impressions.

There was some association with the GCMA, but I believe the BTs had their own organic French officers. I'll look in my GCMA book and see if I can dredge anything up.

Bienvenue! Steve, Mick is the old admin who's come back to the fold. We just did an Indo living history display at Camp Mabry in Austin, TX. Photos to come...

Hey guys,
Just a quick note: The admin over on Facebook for the French CEFEO page sent me 4-5 pics of the original 2e / 3e BT including the units badge. I'll upload here when I get the time. And he stated that the famous pic of the T'ai's coming into DBP are not BT but GCMA. Picked up some great info from them. Stunning they had a detailed history (everything in French).

Guys, I notice a lot of living history events on Camp Mabry after they take place. Is there a consolidated list of events somewhere? I’ve got too much on the plate to put together an impression myself, but I’d love to come out and listen to y’all nerd out about buttons and canteen caps. Especially on such an underserved period as Indochina.

Not that I'm aware of. I'll try to be better about posting upcoming events and/or that I'll be at.
