I would speak, but my jaw is still hanging open. Excellent find.

topbreak you and stalder find some great information. I would imagine you two would be the scroungers in any unit. Always able to find what is needed.

As far as I can tell, reenactors are scroungers by necessity. Part of it is knowing what to look for, then knowing where to look, and the big prize goes to those who know what they're actually looking at.

For those in the forum who, like me, don't speak English that well. Das Wort "scroungers" kann man nicht wortwörtlich übersetzen. im Deutschsprachigen Soldatenjargon würde man dafür das Wort "Organisieren" (Nicht auf dem Offiziellen Dienstweg beschaffen) nehmen.
Thanks to Topbreak for explaining the word.

Thanks to Topbreak for explaining the word. Scrounger, as used in the USA, refers to someone who can find that which is thought to be difficult or impossible to obtain. It's a highly valued skill in every unit. SOmetimes referred to as System D in La Legion. And your English is fine! it's certainly better than what I remember from my German courses in High School and College...
