Messieurs
I need help on the topic Béret;
Where can I find a good Para Bèret.
As far as I understand, they were sewn together from different segments. So differently made than those of today
Where can I find good repro of them. Unfortunately WPG doesn't have any at the moment.
Thanks for the help

www.ebay.fr/I've seen from time to time original's here. They tend to be a little pricy but that's to be expected

According to Osprey Elite #6 French Foreign Legion Paratroops, the two piece versions were issued (unofficially) until 1953.
Legion Paras wore green. Metro & Colonial Paras wore red.

The three piece were the ones most seen. I haven't checked recently, but Doursoux was carrying them.

Another option, for a private purchase two piece, would be to get a WWII Brit beret (WPG) and remove the sweatband, and reverse it. That'll give you the larger beret look of the time with the proper slope for French berets

Etsy listingAllegedly Soviet/Russian made. Not sure if the color would work for Legion paras. Etsy ListingAgain, allegedly Soviet. Color may work for Metro & Colonial paras.

Wrong shade of green IMO. This is a modern beret, but the color remains true.

Colors and construction. There's always something.
Out of curiosity, do French issue berets have ready made points for the lugs on the beret badge, or is that something that individuals have to work out on their own?

Not lugs but they do have backing sewn inside where the badge goes.

Messieurs, thanks for the answers.
I have written to WPG if they could maybe make some?
That would be the easiest and most accurate I think.
Hope WPG answers.

Yes, they would be correct. I have two of the Doursoux three piece berets. They're made well, and I've been quite satisfied with them.
