Niv, The pic you provided illustraded a higher Isreali boot, way above the ankle. But the boot as Sapper shows is almost a dead ringer for the Indochine splasher. The originals have a little different sole pattern ( that may matter to some) But the dark colored boot in the top photo in Sappers example, is almost a dead on... The tan/khaki one sucks! It's ugly and the wrong color. I thought Palladium made many of the Indochina era boots. Maybe I'm mellowing, but personally I see no real problem with utilizing this boot. Being that originals in the proper size are almost non-existant. I would not turn anyone away at a tactical event for wearing these boots. But Win 97 Trench guns are STILL out of the question..... Cookie? oggy? Turner? What do you guys think? ? Renault

Cookie? oggy? Turner? What do you guys think? ? Renault Are Win 97 Trench guns okay if I wear original pataugas? ( in size 47, of course!) ;D ;D The IDF-boots are fine for me. Although I prefer the look of green Canvas and black sole. Sturm, the company that makes the MilTec things, sell cheaply produced pataugas over here in Germany. Have a look: www.raeer.com/shopexd.asp?page=&id=15082?var=00000or: www.raeer.com/shopexd.asp?page=&id=15404?var=00000I got a pair of French Wiisart boots, which have the gaiter sewn on. I just opened the seam, removed the gaiter, et voila! Nice Pataugas! Regards, Turner

WOW! Those are nice repros! And I've seen the same thing done here (cutting off the legging tops) to the Wissarts to get the desired effect on the pautagas!
I couldn't tell from the one photo if those Isreali boots had the black soles, but you're right. The Sturm boots do look like the way to go to get the right size!!!
Merci Turner!!!!!!

I'd go for those TBH - When I was stationed in Germany, my local US Shop had those boots in stock - they're well worth it.
