The M1 helmet is right expensive these days. I have seen some reproductions of them for much less than the asking price of an original. Does anyone know if any of these are any good?

No reproduction as in newly-made, but often euro M1 clones are dressed up as 1940-50's US helmets.

Hello and welcome. Yeah good M1's are quite expensive. The group I jump with WWIIADT requires a WWII paratrooper model. Mine is made by J.Murray. jmurrayinc1944.com/. We actually had him make up about a dozen so students just going to do jump school would not have to buy one if they only planned on 5 jumps and out. Thing is we did that because some of the helmets students were buying from eBay and other venders were truly garbage. Obviously just for reenacting you might not need as high quality as you need stepping out at 800 feet but some of those helmets were junk and looked terrible Good luck with the search

Howdy can! I'll be attending the jump school next month! I'm really stoked about it. I just wish I could wear my TAP kit, but in spite of that, I'm really looking forward to the experience.
