Hi guys, weldome to another project MAT49 - airsoft the idea is to make widely available replica for airsoft skirmishes as well as for the photos... main technology would be 3d print + some metal parts - barell+ barell shroud... (original wire stock) inside should be AK gearbox, modified AK hopup, Ares slim motor, mp40/sten mags below few pictures we will see how well the 3d print will deal with those parts.... and hold on - MAS36 is coming too

i will buy this....or at least the plans if you are successful in getting it together. just as a question..the issue for it seems to always have been battery placement?...any ideas on that?

well if it will be for than for 10 USD maxi or for free... I will see about that (not decided yet) I just want to get that effort back a tiny bit but first I have to print out and try the first one... the battery should go top left + top right along the gearbox - as shown per two red rectangles... it requires Lipoly 7,4 2 S split in halves... evike s got such batteries - 14 x 10mm in cross section - this means 14 x 5mm cross section maxi for each cell and this is something that I believe - I can slide in somehow.....

no problem paying that when you are done....yeah checking out those batteries right now...i think they would fit as well. given the space limitations, i always thought that the MAT49 would need an AEP mechbox like out of the Vz61 scorpion or something. also, just curious, what kind of printer do you use? i've been looking at getting one in the near future.

I am outsorcing the print so I am leaving this question to my friends who are better experienced than I am.... there is a guy in CZ who run only the airsoft 3D printed projects.... www.facebook.com/3DtiskproAirsoft/I ve got the 80% true MAT49 with AEP MP7 gearbox but it doesnt fulfill the "airsoft requirements" of those days... its 75-80 m/s .... www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ-mnNSQdCU

yeah...250 fps...well it would be good for CQB here..lol..maybe increasing the side to side width of the receiver by a millimeter would probably help some.
