This question is about French leggings, not anklets like the British but similar to WWII U.S. and earlier leggings, the kind with the strap under the foot. The question is about sizing. The only ones I've seen for sale are size "T2." I think I read somewhere that they were small, which somehow isn't surprising. In fact, I have my father-in-law's US leggings from WWII and they're really small. So how big are they?
I'm putting this question in this section because I understand that such things were not widely worn in Indochina but generally were in North Africa.

As I understood it those leggings were very unpopular and were pataugas and Mle.52 boots the preferred footwear in Algeria?

From what I've gathered, they were more "popular" in Indochina. Apart from some TTA units early in the war, I haven't seen any in use in Algeria. Outside of slogging through jungle, gaiters and leggings are awful. Kenneth, you may find this thread useful. Here's another.
