Hard to say from pictures. Kind of a moderate price, 131 pounds equals about 164 dollars. I'd like to examine them to see how well they are made.

They look like the style of [various] boots made for Epic Militaria (and other European reenactor vendors); maybe Indian or Pakistani made?

That looks more like suede instead of rough-out full-grain leather. The color is way light, but that's easy to take care of with some dye followed by repeated oiling. The laces aren't even close. Should be flat and reddish brown. Of course, I said "screw it" and replaced the laces on a pair with paracord because I was tired of breaking both the original and new-production laces. Historical accuracy be damned; I want to wear the bastards.

I'm going through that dilemma now, with trying to find laces for my recreated Mle 50 para boots.
I've found some poly laces that once worn in look like cotton laces, but the color is slightly off. As you said, the cotton laces don't last long, and leather laces look weird to me. Repro US WWII Corcoran jump boots come with good looking laces, but replacements seem to be unavailable.
I too am thinking about using some vintage para/550 cord...

For the Mle. 50 boots, you will need leather laces, which are not difficult to find and quite durable provided you keep them oiled along with the boot. The M43 and Mle. 52 boots need cotton laces.
I regularly wear two pairs of my Mle. 52 boots, both obviously the same size. The Type II boots with the riveted straps are far more comfortable and they don't chew through laces. The Type III's have very thick leather which I think puts even more tension on the laces. Coupled with some roughness on the grommets, the laces snap easily.
