Lew (and others): but are they more Algeria-like than Indochina-like? They look similar to some original Wissarts I have, at least color and shape-wise (but not the sole)
thx

The features on Tranchee's offering doesn't really place it definitively in either conflict, therefore it will work for both. Stuff like shiny eyelets and jet-black rubber were more common in Indochina.

Cool. Thanks for the pictures. The fabric looks like earlier, non-Palladium models. Looks like a great repro. Let us know how they hold up. Not many options ever since the current Palladium Co. dropped the OD/OTAN model.

I wear modern palladiums quite a lot in everyday use and like them, well made, but no good for an impression. I've only worn the tranchee ones once so far, very comfy and they come with a removable insole with a padded arch. Will let you know how they hold up. I'm a UK 9 (43) and the sizing was spot on with tranchee.

Modern Palladiums- OD or tan- are just fine for an impression. The insoles are modern, but the appearance on the outside is the same as the ones they started making in 1947. Good to hear that Tranchee's are squared away.
