Found a unit insignia today, 3eme GCPPB with the LE Grenade. One problem is I cannot find a history of the unit? Does anyone know of it?
Merci
Timo

Do you mean 3e GCCP (Groupement Commandos Colonial de Parachutistes)?
If so, they changed designation several times- 3e BCCP (Bataillon de Commandos Coloniale Parachutistes)(1948-1950) -> 3e GCCP (1950-1951) -> 3e BCP (Bataillon Coloniale Parachutistes)(1952-1955) -> 3e RPC (Régiment Paracutiste Coloniale)(1955-1958) -> 3e RPIMa (Régiment Parachustistes d'Infanterie de Marine)(1958-present).

No idea. Never heard of the unit, and a fairly exhausting web search turned up nothing of substance.

I found another in the UK, and they want 45Euro for it. The seller is on holiday but I hope he can shed some light on these.
