I've just seen the trailer for the 1966 film, 'Battle Of Algiers' and in the trailer there is a clip of a few SU-100s. As the film was made in Algeria, does anyone have an idea as to when Algieria started getting supplies from the Soviet Union? I can only assume it had to be between 62 and 66 for the SU's anyways.
Thanks Steven

Immediately after the war ended they started receiving advisers and material from the USSR. It's funny that the Soviets would not lift a finger for the FLN/ALN during their struggle- all aid was from other Warsaw Pact and non-aligned nations- but they were Johnny-on-the-spot after the French were out of the picture.
