¡Muchas gracias, amigo! I'm not exactly a perfectionist, but there's always an uncertainty. I appreciate your approval. Also, putting together and impression and sharing it is a large part of what this is all about, so I'm happy to go through the effort (the get-up's pretty comfortable, too. ) I'll wait to do my Algeria impressions until I move to the Southwest so the backdrop will be a little more appropriate. ¡Salud!

Nah, you really don't wanna see what's under that; it's mean.
I really should have incorporated the MAS 49 into this, but, believe it or not, it's a bit of work getting all this crap together.

After lookin' a little closed at your photos, one detail I might change would be the stowage of the chin strap of the helmet.
Most of the photos I've seen have the chinstrap tucked under the net band. I see much fewer of the fastened behind the back in Indo photos.

Dang...you got some nice toys! Some are a bit new and shiny, though However, that being said, much of the time in any and every war, you often see something (a shirt or coat, for instance) that are worn out to sh*t paired with something (trousers, for instance) that were brand new and recently issued. When something became worn out, you didn't always get a brand new matching set! I know grunt type US Vietnam vets that would wear the same uniform for quite a long time on one operation, and when they came back in they threw all their uniforms in the burn pile and got new ones issued. The longest I wore a [woodland BDU] uniform myself was for three weeks, and while I didn't burn it when I came back in from the field it sure went into the wash and was relegated to a lower position in the daily worn [and hence rather spiffy] vs. field uniform ranking. I've been wearing much of my FIW uniform parts while working on a farm so as to wear them in, but unfortunately have been wearing through some of the items before using them as intended! Particularly my Palladiums are getting trashed...ugh

The green Palladiums in the first few pictures are quite salty. Other than that, conditions are a bit newer than I would prefer. I'll have plenty of time to get them worn in.
I hate cigarettes, I like tobacco once in a while, and everyone and their grandma smoked back then, so pipes are the clear answer. Cigars were basically unavailable to the field ranks.
