Looks like a Mle 1950 "all arms" musette for FM24/29 magazines from what I can see in reference materials

I'm pretty sure you're correct. I picked up one not too long ago. Although havin' not had enough caffeine, I can't recall where I got it from...

Mle. 31 musette pour chargeurs de FM Mle. 24/29. There's also one with a single closure strap that holds five magazines.

Mle. 31 musette pour chargeurs de FM Mle. 24/29. There's also one with a single closure strap that holds five magazines. I received the bag yesterday. It is in pretty decrepit shape....moldy, etc. but I think I can restore it a bit. Although you couldnt see it in the photo from Sportsmansguide, it does have D-rings on the bottom edge. Does that help distinguish which modelle it is ?

Still the same model. There's a single- and a two-buckle version. I believe the latter holds ten magazines.
This problem's right up my alley: I would try a mild bleach solution to kill any mold spores. 1%'s probably all that bags gonna take before discoloring. Alcohol won't affect fungi much. After that, clean thoroughly with soap- detergent would be best- and water. After it has dried completely, apply leather dressing to the leather bits. -The Somewhat Friendly/Somewhat Irritated/All Maniacal Microbiologist.

Disinfected (or whatever the right word is with respect to mold) and washed the cartoucherie. Let it dry and now have treated the leather. Looks much better than it did out of the box

Well done. The surplus storage warehouses where bits like these spent the last 50+ years are heaven for our little microbial companions. Be sure to keep a close eye on it lest the problem returns.
