I could be off on this, but wasnt the U.S. T-10 (standard) used for the majority of jumps?

No, the T10 wasn´t used in Indiochina yet. The majoritiy were T5 and modified T7. The TAP 660 was used during Na San the first time for testing and on small amount at Dien Bien Phu.
My TAP660 is dated 1953. The T10 was introduced in the mid of the 50´s.
The first 660´s harness were of a reddish brown colour, the later ones in green.

Well, I screwed the pooch on that ... I told a veteran during last years Viet War reunion that the T-10 was used "in large quantities" in the First Indochina War. Open mouth, insert foot.
