Hi! On 24 June 2010 we had a snall but very nice event in Germany. The annual "Scharnhost" commemorative march was done ariound the Steinhuder Meer, a big lake with a lot of holliday facilities. We build a small display on an old Bundeswehr training ground and marched 10 Kilometers in full kit (uniform, equipment, helmet and weapons) it was very very hot. The organizer, the German Bundeswehr Reserve Assosiation, was very impressed, and we got the invitaion for the next year. We had to explain that we portay French not US nearly every 10 minutes , but otherwise it was a full succes. Here some pics: Now we are ca. 6-7 Indochina-reenactords but we hope that we will rise a bit. ;D

Salut cookie
A really interessting rarity, isn´t it ?
Normally we are 6-7 people in our group. I infected 4 of my friends for that impression. The others like Hoover and Turner developed paralley the same Interest and about three years ago we build up our group.
I was very sorry that only 3 frenchies remaind for that event, but we did the best. I hope You can see it on the pictures. The week before, I painted all the signs and brought the stuff together and we where happy to find that road block used by the Bundeswehr for training. In the woods around we found many trenches, bunkers and foxhole, so plan to start an even bigger event if will be invited again by the authorties and the Bundeswehr.
Cheers
Micha
