Many thanks Danny.
I think our photographs are going to work...as we improve and figure out the best scenes to recreate. I think that the ones that we took this weekend are a great stat. The way we did it here was not to provide the viewer with a tired and over interpreted caption....in a sense...beating the viewer over the head with what he or she ought to see in the image. I think that the short caption works well here and the meanings behind the images are clear.....or i think so at least.
Ive seen too many reenacting photos with a detailed paragraph of what is supposed to be going on. And then it just gets tired.
but, then, I have a headache, its early, and I havent had my coffee yet.

We had a great weekend.
The only problem was a cold front that blew in, making the photo-op rough in that one had to stay warm during the photo shoot. We got some great photos, but as Doc said, were learning as we go. The short captions work best and were getting better I think in terms of authenticity. Our thanks (as always) to Cookie who continues to give us feedback offline about what is / is not correct. As far as authenticity goes, it either IS or IS NOT correct. Thats the way we see it. Past photos from the Viet Vets event will be cannibalized later this month as we take down what is incorrect and keep with is good.
Our Airborne Tactical March (ATM) went off without a hitch. Jacob, Travis, John and myself set off to explore Camp Anderson and had a great time, although we kept running in to the feral hogs, which, during mating time, can be quite dangerous. We bagged the ATM due to safety concerns for everyone based upon this problem factor --- better safe than sorry. We still have 2 more training sessions this year to go.
We received some GREAT info from lirelou (prior service veteran) which I will share soon. Our thanks as always to him!
We've got more pics that will be uploaded as well...
