If it is anything like Militaria's other books and magazine articles it'll be spot on and full of quality photos and recreations.
Thats on my list.
PS- Marsouin, the reenactment photo hasn't come up?
Cheers

I like the idea that the para in that pic has is trousers BLOUSED and not worn OVER the top of the splashers ... I was told (incorrectly) by one FICW reenactor that ALL trousers were worn over the boots ... yet the photos show otherwise. Were finding the same out with 3e BCCP.

Thanks, that's good enough - just looking for a ballpark date to know if the release was immanent or several months away.
Best, Bill K.

It's time for Rosetta Stone. I have been teaching myself French each day, with basic words and phrases (I worked for a French culinary school and learned some basic phrases .... and words not best repeated in polite company). It's necessary for this impresson however. We (Americans) are probably the laziest as we want everyone to speak English! (like on our forum!) Maybe we need to designate a full week next year and speak only in French!!! I'll have to use Babelfish! ;D

marsouin,
Much appreciated. Thank you for staying on top of this for us! Is this coming out from Indo Editions?

Yes,
Unfortunately 'Histoire et Collections' only publish their works in French these days. They used to publish Militaria Magazine and their books in English but stopped doing so some time ago. Probably due to us Brits not appreciating the quality of their articles! As usual i'll have to use the Indo Para book as a quality picture reference source and muddle through with my appalling French.

Bought it last night. Eagerly awaiting its arrival.
I'm always impressed with the books and magazines published by H&C. Although it is a shame they don't consider publishing more of their French armed forces books in English. Some of their publications on Leclerc and the WWII Free French forces liberating Europe are excellent, just only in french... Pah!

The book arrived today. It is excellent. Easily as good as their GI WWII kit books. Loads of good quality photos of gear, loads of original photos from the war. Thouroughly recommended.
I would suggest this book for anyone getting into the subject. It doesn't matter if you can't read French as the titles and photos are self explanetary.
Excellent.

Finally decided to purchase it and got it yesterday.... Nice reenacting pics,it completes well the study published in Le gazette des uniformes "Les paras en Indochine"-where the airborne units history was missing-.... I think that volume 2 will deal more in depth with the equipments (besides the study of the items related to the war in Algeria....) for the TAP mle 1950 & 50/53...
