Hi all, Does anyone out there have a civilian jump school/organisation that you'd recommend in the UK? I've never left an aircraft other than by using a set of steps before and I'm looking for a good place to do a tandem jump . I've found this lot www.skylineparachuting.co.uk/home.aspx - they operate quite close to home (airfields near Swindon, Cirencester and Salisbury amongst others). I'm also considering doing this as a sponsored jump for charity (for a services charity or MAG the mines clearance charity - exact one to be decided), so if anyone wants to join or support me, please let me know. Merci! LeM.

LeM. Although your over the pond, in '94 I jumped with the Pegasus Parachute Squadron [ ex-Para, ex-TA SAS, ex-Guard ] jumpers at Fort Bragg. Great bunch of guys ... but I can't find their website; they may not even be around. The reason I suggest them to you is that they could get you started on standard civilian kit [ jumping a sport commander or box chute as well as tandem to start off ] and then work you into jumping rounds. Barring PPS, I would suggest you contact: Pathfinder Group UKwww.pathfindergroupuk.com/Also try: Dropzone.comwww.dropzone.com/dropzone/Detailed/731.shtmlYou can learn the civilian standard first then move into military style parachuting if that suits you. LeM I think its admirable you want to do this. Most of us [ myself included ] will never foot outside a side door ever again.... ;D .... just concentrate on safety-first and remember: LOOK GRAB LOOK GRAB PULL PULL... /martini/
