I'm surprised no one has shown an interest in British weapons in Indochina. The SMLE, Bren, and Sten guns all saw use by various units. The provisional (Marche) battalion of the 8th Moroccan Tirailleurs was issued with British kit and the Enfield rifle upon its arrival in Indochina., I'm assuming that they were also issued the Bren, but that may not be the case. Earlier units such as the battalions of the Far East Provisional Brigade (BMEO) were both armed and kitted out by the British in Ceylon before their arrival in Indochina. I picked up a silenced Sten myself while I was there, which came with its own Olive Drab "brief case" for carrying when broken down. When fired, one could almost see the rounds leave the barrel, much as with a low velocity air rifle.

I have seen a picture of a French soldier in Indochina carrying an SMLE mark III, and wearing what looks like British web gear. I can't find the picture, but I think the caption said it was in the late '40s.
